Life is a game, and you are its main player.
Play it so that it's genuinely interesting for you.
Leela is an ancient Indian game of self-discovery, more than two thousand years old. The board of 72 cells is a map of the human path: from birth and illusion, through fears, habits, and talents, toward connection with yourself. Each cell corresponds to a particular quality or inner state. Moving across the board — sliding down snakes, climbing up arrows — you start to see the pattern in your own steps.
The game is built on a principle of neutrality: nothing is good or bad — everything is a lesson. It's the same principle modern coaching is built on. The game doesn't hint or hand you ready-made answers. It asks questions — and you're the one who answers them.
You can only get onto the board by formulating your true request. Not what the world expects of you, not wishes imposed by people around you or by circumstance — but what you want for yourself. That's the hardest and most important part: making out your own desire underneath the noise of other people's expectations.
The game clears your thinking. By the time you reach the exit — cell 68 «Cosmic Consciousness» — you've gathered what you noticed along the way: what supports your request, what's standing in its way, and which actions are worth trying next. Not an abstract goal, but an understanding of your target state — how you actually want to feel — and the first concrete steps toward it.
No one plays for you, and nothing is imposed on you. You formulate what you want yourself, and you find your own answer to how to get there.
I'm Ekaterina Vinogradova: a Gestalt coach, phototherapist, and certified Leela Game Master. My version of Leela isn't “woo-woo.” It's structured, dynamic work on yourself, where every cell has been translated out of esoteric language and into the language of your actual life: money, relationships, energy, fulfillment.
«Katya, you always call things by their real names. That's valuable»— from client feedback
This is a lighter version of the game to play on your own. It has my own tried-and-tested wording for all 72 cells, and the same questions I would ask you in a live session. But you answer them yourself — in writing, by hand, alone with yourself.
Who it's for:
— anyone who's never played and wants to get to know the game and see what it's about;
— anyone who's already played, knows the ropes, and wants to clarify a few things for themselves without a session with a facilitator.
Inside: entry through your request, coaching prompts at every step, snakes and arrows with both cells to work through, the final practice “The Art of Small Steps,” a journal of every move, and a message card from the game to keep.
The online version is an introduction and a self-guided practice. It doesn't replace a live game with a Master, or systemic therapy.
You can rush through the game: skim the wording, answer vaguely, roll the dice just for fun. But it doesn't work that way.
The real work only starts once you set aside actual time for yourself: you take a sheet of paper and thoughtfully work through cell after cell, without distraction. The game is only as honest as you are with yourself.
After the game, the choice is yours. You can close the page and forget about it as a curious experience. Or you can start acting — on the steps you've mapped out for yourself. If any decisions came to you during the game, take the first steps toward making them real.
That's where all the value actually is: not in the realization, but in the action that follows it.

«Katya was right on top of my request and managed to bring to the surface something my psychologist and I had been working on but could never quite get to the bottom of. By the end of the session I walked away with: a plan of action, and confidence in my direction and my own strength»— Roza, counseling psychologist
«Leela isn't really a game — it's a serious process of self-discovery and therapy. Who guides you across the board matters enormously. We were led by the charismatic, talented, extraordinary Ekaterina»— Marina, expert producer
«She opened me up so gently, took out everything unnecessary, put in what was needed, and carefully stitched me back up. The way she sees a player and guides them with such care! Today she introduced me to myself»— Olga, yoga instructor
«The Master guided me through the cells of my life so masterfully, lighting up my true self, that there was no doubt left about where I belonged. Even now I keep revisiting the states I lived through during the game»— Elena, psychologist
The game will help: until you roll the entry six, it keeps asking coaching questions that sharpen your wording. Often the true request is actually born at this exact stage.
No. By Leela's rules, you enter through a six. Until it comes up, use every roll as one more chance to check and refine your request.
60–90 minutes on average. The game saves itself automatically: if you stop partway through, you'll continue from the same spot on the same device.
In substance, it's the same Leela with my own interpretations. But in a live session I guide you: I hear what's underneath your answers, I ask questions about your actual situation, and I don't let you slip away from something. The online version is self-guided work and an introduction to the board.
